Gift Ideas You Should Think of Giving a Girl..^_^

I bet one of the things that makes guys go nuts thinking over is the most perfect gift they could give their girlfriend. I mean, girls usually give a hint of what they really want, indirectly (i.e. "Oh, i wish somebody would give me a puppy on my birthday", "What a cool car! I've always wanted to have one like that!"), or directly (i.e. "Would you give me something that would make me say 'wow!' during our anniversary. No, not talking about a new appliance. A trip to Tubbataha Reef would do."). However, guys usually ignore the tip-offs and prefer to give more subtle indications of their love (like giving a teddy bear, roses, chocolates..etc..). Listening and getting the message is an integral part of a relationship guys. So if a girl says something she wants, she wants you to listen. If you're going to buy her a gift, get something she wants, not something you want cause you're not the one who's going to keep it for the rest of your life anyway. And don't settle for the conventional. Girls' wants, like fashion trends, are under a state of continuous alteration, so what might be cool to your mom, might not necessarily reflect the choices of your girlfriend.

Now, i know that certain gifts will be appreciated by others more, depending on the type of personality they have. But basically, all girls can be classified under a few general categories. Maybe you'll need Carl Jung's personality categorizer or Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito's Kokology: Game of Self Discovery in order to be helped in the area of learning more about where to group your girlfriends personality, especially if you've mastered her anatomy more than her as a person. But hey, don't panic. Breathe deeply and think whether you girlfriend is:

1. Trendy. Kikay. Shoppaholic. Ready for the catwalk. Stunningly beautiful. or Stunningly Feeling Beautiful.
- this is the group where Paris Hilton belongs. Whether she's got the looks and body or just the money and attitude, she's definitely ready for the boldest gift you can give and think of. So if you have her, maybe you're the richer kind amongst the many of the men populace. Get her what's in these days. Or what's cool, rock and hip.

Get her the hottest bikinis! Make her feel hotter than she already is. Make her feel like a Victoria's Secret Goddess. Make sure you get her right size. (Or maybe exaggerating her bust size a little would do a better trick.
*wink*)

Scarves have sidetracked handbags and fancy shoes this year 2008. Scarves made of Pashmina, Wool and cashmilon are the in things this year. These scarves are expected to perfectly accessorize the various garment sets that shops have in store for enthusiastic shoppers. Draping a scarf casually over the shoulders to make a small “dupatta” or wrapping it around the neck in the western style; both are welcome this year in the high on fashion circles.

The world of shoes is expected to be ruled by sneakers this year. International brands like Nike and Adidas have launched their own series at the onset of the New Year. Indian brands are not falling behind either. Bata and Sreeleathers have already come up with new sets of footwear for enthusiastic consumers. This type of footwear can be teamed up with jeans and t-shirts but may also be teamed up with dress suits, fitting in perfectly with the clothes.

See through clothes or x-ray clothes are in this season, especially with the global warming issues and all that. The weight watcher series of clothes promoted by various Indian and foreign brands of clothing will make sure fashionistas stay in shape this year. The fabrics like chiffon, organza and georgette rule the fashion market this season. Various Indian brands are promoting these see-through clothing, as are a lot of heavyweight foreign brands. Besides, these clothes also improve air circulation, thus allowing the skin to breathe properly and stay healthy.

Next in line are industrial fabrics like anti-microbial fabrics and also rubberized ones are steadily pushing their way into people's wardrobes. Rubberized fabrics are also either semi or fully waterproof, thus resulting in an altogether new set of benefits. Anti-microbial fabrics prevent accumulation and growth of bacteria on the skin, thus having evident health benefits in the long run. Health conscious individuals frequently seek garments made of these fabrics. Anti microbial fabrics find good use in innerwear production, which are in this year. Rubberized fabrics are also a hot favourite in fashion markets this season.

The perfect set of clothing has many elements embedded into it. It is the combination in the end that gives the whole set a completely new meaning and enhances the wearer's appearance to perfection.

So guys, remember that question art teachers used to ask? (Are women dressing up because of guys or because of themselves? And the answer is women dress up because of themselves because if they do it for the guys, then they wouldn't have to wear anything at all!) You can now contest that and rather think that your girlfriend wore what you gave (if you gave her a good clothing) because it is supposed to please you. Isn't that ego-boosting?

2. Boyfriend-typov-Girlfriend
- she loves playing computer games like men usually do, she loves wrestling like men usually do, she loves skateboarding like men usually do, she might be the Hana Kimi girl posing as a guy star only that she's not really posing as a guy..uhm..get what i mean..? Anyway, if she's that seemingly adam trapped in a girl's body because her hobbies are more likely that of the boys, why don't you get her:

A cool race car!

or an RC car if a real car is something you would rather keep for yourself... (or maybe, just maybe, a life size car with true engines..)

or the latest PC game! like starcraft II perhaps...

oh, and what about a cool bike..

or a guitar, drum sticks, airsoft or billiards set..

or maybe some real cool goth apparels

3. the working gal. stresstabs models.
- the career type is the most practical type because they are working for their money and they believe that you should always get what your money is worth. so don't give them anything luxurious. give them the most practical of gifts.

instant hair remover, hair straightener, olay anti-aging formulas. remember, these girls almost don't have the luxury of time. they believe that time is gold. so what's the magic word for these type of women? Correct! It's INSTANT. Don't think they'd get insulted if you buy them personal items they should be shopping for themselves. These kind of women are open-minded and they would definitely appreciate the idea that you are concerned about their well-being. Especially aesthetically.

a laptop, is good as well, especially if you're feeling extra generous. so they could bring home their work til they finish their work.

or accompany them for a day at a spa or at yoga class. who knows, they might actually start noticing how hot you are with little clothes on. haha

4. the home buddies. nerdies. Stepford wives.
- yep, the house is their twins. they are the perfect candidates for the Big Brother House. You can keep them inside a close quarters for years and they won't even notice. What should you give them aside from a house?

maybe a pet! oh yes, try to expand their social life by giving them friends. a dog would help them guard the house as well.

or domestic plants. just to ensure that their is adequate amount of oxygen in her house to sustain her life.

a book. a romance story. a thriller. kamasutra. or books about why one shouldn't stay at home.

a vacation trip far from town. maybe the reason why they'd rather stay at home is because the town she lives in is full of sniveling animals of a neighbor. try to get her out of there and get her some place where she could safely bask in the sun, enjoy the outside world and make her realize that outside isn't so scary after all.

Above all, remember guys, The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” ^_^.

oh yes, they already exist dear..

I fancy clothes. I remember way back preschool when i used to draw dresses or clothes or bikinis in our drawing book then pray to God at night wishing those drawings would be real the next day. Well, some clothes were bought for me by my mom, some handed down by my older sister, but those were not exactly the clothes i designed. So i kept on hoping my prayers would be granted, but as i matured and surpassed the age of magical thinking, my hopes became more realistic. I soon wanted to own a personal sewing machine and textile shop. I'm sure you know that realistic as it may sound (as compared to the magical drawing book), it never was given to me. Anyway, after so many frustrations over a seemingly impossible vision, i finally moved on and rather placed it some place where it should belong. To the future. Maybe one day, somebody who shares my fancy, who has much greater ardor at it, would invent something, like a spray fabric for example, or a paper-turning-into-a-cloth thingamajiggy, or a magic wand..whatsoever..just so..you know.. hehe.. Anyway, i came across an article in Herald Sun about the world's weirdest gizmo's..! It's so cool..! And funny.. like the idea of having been invented a straw perhaps when it first came out.. So anyway, here goes..

IF YOU are allergic to pollen, too lazy to make your bed or annoyed to learn the pretty woman in the web chat room is really a man, a solution might be at hand.

More than 700 of the world's most creative minds have set up stands at the International Exhibition of Inventions to show off creations ranging from heavy-duty engineering feats to wacky little gadgets such as the running alarm clock that will make sure you get out of bed in the morning.

The fair, which runs until Sunday, features 1000 inventions by companies, independent researchers, universities or people who have just had a good idea to remedy smelly feet.

Labor-saving devices are a recurring theme at this year's 36th edition.

One is the self-making bed that spreads the linen at the push of a button.

The bed sheet is rolled out by two fasteners moving along metal bars on each side of the bed. Once the sheet is spread over the bed, the two bars are automatically lowered.

"I was thinking of people with diseases when inventing the bed," said Italian Enrico Berruti, "but also because I'm a little bit lazy myself."

Medical inventions range from an injection-performing robot to a tool for diagnosing stomach ulcers with ultra sound.

Among the simplest is artificial nose hair. Two little nubs of coiled pipe cleaner connected by a U-shaped wire block pollen and dust when placed in the nostrils.

The medical device reinforced natural nose hair to protect people from inhaling polluting and allergy-causing particles in the air, said Gengsheng Sun, a physician living in the United States.

"Most people do not have enough nose hair," he said.

Dr Sun said he got the idea because his wife was suffering from heavy allergies and didn't want to take antihistamine.

"It's comfortable to wear, and cheap," he added.

The artificial nose hair could also be impregnated with medicine, such as insulin for diabetes, so it could be absorbed gradually, Dr Sun said.

Inventions can be entered only once at the Geneva show, and must be patented.

This year's crop also includes:

A MACHINE that dries kitchen garbage, eliminating food bacteria and odour. The South Korean oven uses the same amount of electricity as a 100W light bulb and turns the waste into solid fuel.

AN ALARM clock on small wheels that forces sleepyheads to get out of bed because they have to chase the device around the room to turn off the annoying alarm.

A FLEECE blanket with sleeves and gloves, shaped to make sure all parts of your body are warm when you sit reading a book.

AN EMAIL analyser that can tell if a person you meet in a chat room is a man pretending to be a woman or vice versa. It looks at factors such as the number of words, emotions and compliments.

A HammeRule..! More about it here:
